A new report by Mitchel Institute stated that Australia will witness 300,000 reduced number of International Students if the travel restrictions remain unaltered. 12% is the reduction in enrollments from the time of March and the most affected enrollments are the ones from China because of the non-entry of people from China. 116, 774 to 138,060 is the increased number of students studying in Australia remotely while Melbourne and Sydney remain affected under the significant reduction of enrollments. If this reduction continues, it will be a huge setback for the economy of Australia and a major obstacle for local businesses. Though, the trials are being planned to bring back the international students, the question containing, “if”, “how”, and “when” persists. The return will promote the sustainable and equitable international education sector.
