My Name is Bashir Ahmad and I completed high school in 2013 from The American High School in Chittagong, Bangladesh. After graduating from high school, I pursued my Bachelor of Engineering degree, with 1st class honours from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
I moved to Australia to study Master of Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology after which I went on to pursue the internationally recognized AS9100 REV D certification for testing, validation and auditing as well as the ISO9001 certified lead/ internal auditor certification from Olea Quality Consulting, Idaho, USA.
With my understanding of avionics, I wish to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable aerospace technologies in Australia. Additionally, with my skills in quality assurance and auditing, I can also actively contribute to furthering the country’s initiatives in the realm of aerospace development.
Having developed an interest in Engineering from an early age, I have always aspired for a career in aerospace engineering and avionics. Driven to learn more about this dynamic domain, I went on to work in internationally acclaimed avionics facilities approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia (CASA), Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
At these world-class facilities, I was able to gain knowledge about the intricacies of avionics and an in-depth understanding of disciplines such as In-Flight Entertainment Systems, Radio and Transponder mechanisms as well as FMS or Flood Monitoring Systems. I have always been fascinated by the underlying technical processes that go on within the avionic systems in aircraft. I have worked in several technical arenas where I gained hands-on experience of working with contemporary technologies. From conducting industrial simulations to automation tests on telecommunication equipment, I have gained technical skills that have helped me strengthen my understanding of avionic components in aircraft. In course of my employment as a Support Engineer with Concept Films in Sydney, I was tasked with fixing faulty equipment and identifying faults in computer problems. With the diverse work profiles that I have handled, I have been able to attain a profound understanding of electrical mechanisms and their importance in aerospace engineering.
Among my published works, I have written on the topic of “Outdoor Mobile Robotic Assistant” which included the theory of Micro-Controller Module (Arduino), Firmware and Infrared Sensor Circuit Design and Implementation and Operating Principle and Usage of PIR Motion Sensor.
My papers on the Analysis of Voltage Sag & Swell, Minimization Using Dynamic Voltage Restoration (DVR) was also Published. I am currently working on my paper on “Lowering the Economic Impact of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul in Aerospace Supply Chains”. My paper on “Shifting Changes in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Supply Chain for The Aviation Industry- Implications for Cost-Effectiveness” is also in the pipeline.
I am currently pursuing my PhD. on the topic; “Shifting Changes in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Supply Chain for The Aviation Industry- Implications for Cost-Effectiveness”. I believe that living in Australia can help me realize my ambition and build a fruitful career in Aerospace Engineering.
