It is the responsibility of the ward manager to ensure that new technology and adequate spacing for ward patients are facilitated to ensure that no one is hurt. To reduce the amount of assault the ward manager must also ensure that the staff is trained adequately to recognize triggers and aggressors. They must learn how to get the situation under control immediately and they must also be given instruction on how to deal with an un foreseen circumstance.
