The US Presidential proclamation comes into effect on November 8 this year and will lift travel restrictions for 33 countries who were banned from entering the country due to COVID-19. Brazil, India, China, Iran, South Africa, and the United Kingdom are the countries covered by the geographic COVID-19 entry ban. Heavy surges in international travel are expected whether it is for business, work, or study. However, applicants in these countries are advised to regularly check news and social media for updates on entry to the US. Until now, the country has already accepted 62000 applications for study visas. It has decided to make all types of applications eligible for visa till 8th November, but student visa applications will be on top priority. Senior official at Patton International, Preeyam Budhia, said this will boost the US-Indo trade and bring it back to the pre-covid levels in late 2019.
