After taking months of remote lessons, students in England are returning to the campus. The universities will conduct the summer term by providing in-person lessons to the students. The bars and cafes within the universities will resume working after being closed for months to follow the strict socializing restrictions.

Students returning to the campus will be encouraged to take the Covid-19 test twice a week while they enjoy the summer term. Apart from the asymptomatic testing within the campus, the students will also take the three Covid-19 supervised tests at the interval of three to four days.

Michelle Donelan said in April that “resuming the campus for students will not be possible until mid-may”. This statement was made after the government was criticized by the university leaders for delaying the in-person lessons for students.

Students facing any issues related to their mental health or who have a lack of space to study at their home will be helped. The permission for returning to the term-time accommodation has been provided to the students during the period of the third lockdown.
