University of California Requires International Students to Be Vaccinated for Fall 2021 In-Person Learning

On April 22, the University of California announced a new policy that would require foreign students studying abroad to receive WHO-approved vaccines before returning to in-person learning in the fall. The policy is being proposed to ensure the safety of the on-campus population during the fall semester. After the United States, it will be finalized and made mandatory for all students on campus. Moreover, people who do not follow the rules and are not granted medical or religious certificates will be denied entry to university facilities and services. However, to help foreign students return to campus in the fall, Associated Students can donate $250,000 to ISPO to help with transportation from their home country to UCSD. They will also contribute to the funding of mental health programmes. In context to in-person learning, faculties are working on an academic plan to enroll overseas students during the pandemic where vaccinating each and every student with a WHO-authorized vaccine is mandatory.
