Innovation to action, an annual conference focusing on global health was held virtually this year. This conference fuses the collaboration and innovation that is focused on human health. This year two students from Texas Wesleyan have bagged the winner position. They introduced an innovative idea for solving the global health issue and received international praise.

Sheryl Vu and Raul Montes from Psychology major and biology major respectively along with two more members from Nigeria and the United Kingdom were in a team called "The Mending Mind". They beat out more than 30 teams that participated from across the world and won the United Nations sustainable goals competition.

The team was asked to find an innovative solution for addressing the urgent global health issue. The mending mind came up with the app and the wrist band that would trace cortisol, the hormone that is released when the human body is stressed. It will also trace the body temperature and the pulse rate for detecting the stress level. This innovative idea can be used against mental health issues. Through this wristband, people using it will be informed on their phones that they need to take action as they are stressed.
