The concerns regarding the health before this flu season is higher than the last year. People around the world are confused about whether they should take the seasonal flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine at the same time or not. Many such concerns are giving hard times to every individual.

So, the University of Kentucky Public Relations and Strategic Communications Office has provided answers to many concerns of people in this week health column. It is written by Clark Kebodeaux, Pharm. D., associate professor and director of the UK Community-Based Residency Program in the UK College of Pharmacy.

As per ACIP recommendations, annual influenza vaccination for everyone above the age of 6 months having no contradictions is advisable. So, one should plan to get both vaccines by the end of October. However, the ones who are suspected of COVID-19 should avoid the shot of the influenza vaccine till their symptoms get resolved.
