The Chief Health Officer has signed off the permit for entry of the international students in South Australia. Although the plan still needs to be approved by the federal government. But the action has been taken on the desires of the universities who want back the students overseas as soon as possible.

The plan strictly requires the students arriving to be quarantined for two weeks. The quarantine arrangements will be at the Parafield airport which is in Adelaide’s north. The international students who already are there in Australia can continue with their studies.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics pandemic has been a great loss for the local economy. In 2019 the international students were worth over $40 billion. And due to the pandemic it this figure was down by $9 billion.

The prime minister of Australia Mr. Scott Morrison stated earlier this month that the government is working on different schemes for international students. The government is preparing so that international students will be back in the Northern Territory, SA, and New South Wales.
