The 2021 Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) by the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (OILT) was finished by a total number of 127,827 graduates and emphasized the effect of COVID-19 on the labour market, gender inequalities and payment gap. It disclosed that the rate for permanent employment appraises amid graduates of higher education in Australia boosted significantly up to 68.9 per cent to 68.7 this year.
As per Universities Chief Executive Catriona Jackson, the survey highlighted the benefits of graduate criterion and said in spite of the pandemic there is a huge advantage of the degree in the competitive employment scenario.
The survey also highlighted the sign of regaining in the graduate job market after the harsh effect of the pandemic. On the other hand, once the vaccination rates improve and hit more than 80 per cent it is likely the prospectus will grow further. According to Jackson, within three years of the completion of the degree, nine out of 10 will get a full-time job. Therefore, there is a huge prospect for graduates who have a good academic record.
The survey further stated the average full-time undergraduate remuneration level leaped from $ 64,700 in the previous year to $65,000 this year.
