At the University of Calgary, Alberta, students had a quick opportunity to avail themselves of receiving vaccines. However, Alberta is one city that still has to come to terms to check the rising cases of COVID-19 due to unvaccinated individuals.

A pop-up vaccine clinic, a makeshift clinical bus parked outside university premises was for the freshmen to avail their vaccination. Merely immunizing students at the university campus does not remain the goal of this bus. It also addresses vaccine hesitancy among individuals aged between 18 - 29.

Once the critical vaccine passport drive begins to gain momentum, vaccine rates among young people will rise. They currently fear vaccination on account of the conspiracy theories post-vaccination.

The pop-up bus started its journey around Alberta around July end and is likely to return to the university campus next week again.

Alberta’s demography has the lowest fully vaccinated individuals available, where more positive Covid-19 cases are likely. Therefore, the fear of the spread of the Delta variant looms large here. Nevertheless, the pop-up is undoubtedly a step in the right direction for mobilizing people to be fully vaccinated, say students at the campus.
