The education minister of Australia is hopeful that the international students will be able to return this year. There is an outbreak of the coronavirus which is disturbing the plans. But still, the government is hopeful for the trial of bringing the international students back. For this, South Australia has received Federal permission for running the pilot program. This program will target a small number of students for their return to Adelaide universities.

Alan Tudge the education minister has accepted that the coronavirus is again having an outbreak with its new variant in NSW, Victoria, and SW. And this is the reason why the pilot program still does not have any outcome.

In an interview with Sky News on Wednesday Tudge said that “the government’s major focus is on handling the pandemic situation well. We are getting back on top of the Delta Variant and also working to open up the economy.

He further added that “from our perspective, we would be delighted to see some of the pilot programs running later in this year. And the decision on the timing would be the SA government’s choice.”
