COVID-19 pandemic has made students' life stressful all over the globe. They are suffering from depression and anxiety due to pandemic outbreaks. Universities worldwide have shifted their learning process to online platforms.

But the online studying system is not appealing to all the students as many are facing difficulties. With a similar struggling story, we have a Ph.D. student Zeenatual Islam. She belongs from Bangladesh and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Economics in Western Australia. Her specializations are in the environment and agriculture.

And for her course, she was expected to start the fieldwork in September 2021. But due to pandemics, she does not have permission for doing her fieldwork in person. She has to complete via online research which is a bit difficult. She is worried about the data quality of her research work and that it may affect her overall performance.

She said that “she is aware that the health and safety of the interviewees and the interviewer for her fieldwork will remain an issue due to pandemics. She also agrees that the survey will be more time taking in the present scenario. But the data quality is something she is concerned about.”
