The capital of the UK is all set to welcome international students after crossing all the hurdles of a pandemic. The international students can feel one problem amid this excitement, and that is the fierce rental market. The housing facilities have become harder to navigate now. Amelia Greene, the director of the prime lettings team at estate agent Savills Plc International students, said that the applicant registration has doubled from the past two weeks.

And Lauren Hatcliff, the director of lettings at JLL Canary Wharf, says that “the international student market is back much more than it was in 2019. This is one of the busiest markets that I have been working within my career of 10years.”

The UK is facing the resuming phase as the government has lifted the socializing restrictions. Many of the universities have returned to on-campus study. So, replacing the domestic and the international students is good news for the landlords in London post-pandemic.

Under the situation, now many of the international students have to sign the contract. They are even paying rent for 12 months at some places without even viewing the property in person. They know that if they wait, they might be losing their home to others within these situations.
