Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, reiterated that international students and skilled workers will have to wait until December as NSW is yet to scrap the quarantine policy. Only the citizens, residents and their family members will be allowed to enter NSW beginning November this year. Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) mentioned that all returning individuals must be fully-vaccinated with either Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, or Covishield. The government announced that people may no longer need to be quarantined, instead, they will be required to show proof of vaccination. Nearly 500 international students are expected to return to Australia in January next year. They too have to be full-vaccinated with one of the above mentioned vaccines approved by the TGA. The government will also prioritise students enrolled in medicine and engineering courses since the number of enrollments in these courses is higher and much more diverse than others like law and management.
