In response to the international students’ plea, the Canadian Government will reopen several airports by the end of November. From unavailability of flights to study visa-related issues, students had been facing numerous of such hurdles. Transport Canada recently said that the country will soon welcome more international flights as major restrictions are already removed. This was a follow-up action to the increased vaccination level across the country and thus, more airports will be safe to open for passenger flights. While there is still time, this measure will be subject to the current COVID-19 situation, demand, and operational capacity. To effectively carry out this plan, the Government of Canada will continue to support all the airports and aviation operators to ensure safeguard of the international students and travellers. Some of the additional airports include John C. Munro Hamilton International, St. John’s International, Regina International, Region of Waterloo International, and Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International.
