If the clearance for Canadian universities stands approved from your respective embassies, there are two things you need to keep in mind while going to Canada as a student:

An approved study permit, as well as a letter of introduction showing your approved study permit and you, are ready for enrollment in the designated learning institution with your COVID-19 readiness plan.

However, the travel plan can only initiate after a fourteen-day wait post a vaccine jab of either Pfizer or the Moderna, or AstraZeneca or Janssen.

Students will no longer have to wait for quarantine in hotels with effect from August 9, 2021. The word going around is, the India-Canada direct flights are suspended till August 21, and entry to Canada remains navigated through a third country, maintaining a quarantine plan.

It is through the ‘ArriveCan app’ that students submit their plans for officer-traveler communication. A ready backup quarantine plan is a must here, lest the border officer determines you do not qualify for the exemption.

The federal government issued a press release explicitly aimed at international students studying in Canada this fall; for more details, the updated government website is available.
