UK universities have announced in-person classes to be resumed from the autumn term. And this has invited an influx of international students from the countries on the red-list. This is why this autumn term is going to be described as the “time bomb” for the government of the UK.

The government has come up with the rule that the international students arriving will have to stay at the chosen hotels in quarantine for 10 days. And it will cost the students around 1,750 pounds. Now around 100,000 international students are currently in the red-list countries and are hoping to resume their on-campus studies in autumn. This situation will stretch for the hotel quarantine system that the government has implemented. Although there is a chance that many students will drop out for the January or September 2022 batch. This can happen due to the high cost of continuing the on-campus studies and paying for the quarantine hotels.

If the hotel reaches its limit the government might change the plan and put up the students at the quarantine facilities arranged at the airports.
