Two universities in China, Duke Kunshan University (DKU) and New York University (NYU), will start in-campus teaching for international students from next semester in March. Although the Chinese government has not officially announced the reopening of international borders, the two universities have started working on a comprehensive plan to safely bring back their students and continue face-to-face classes. This decision was taken in favor of those who are stuck in foreign countries due to the Covid-19 restrictions. However, all inbound students must be fully-vaccinated and will have to quarantine themselves after flying into China. The dean of students at NYU Shanghai, David Pe, has already sent emails to the students to begin preparations and coordinate with the academic advisors who will assist them with course registrations, flight booking, and study VISA. Once the Government approves this, it will allow hundreds of students to get exposure to practical content -- something that did not receive over the last 15 months due to the pandemic.
