Even on International Students Day, where students are promised unrestricted access to basic education, thousands of them still wait to join in-campus lectures despite successful enrollment at the international universities. The reason: strict requirements for COVID-19 vaccines. Previously, only students who have taken both the doses of centre-approved vaccination will be allowed to travel offshores and enter their universities. For instance, in Australia, students must be vaccinated with only those recognised by Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) else, they will take their courses online. Students who are unable to return to their institutions are required to submit proof of vaccination, test reports, and recovery documents. Countries such as Canada, France, Iceland, Ireland, and Italy have similar vaccination requirements for students if they wish to continue their studies in the campuses.
