Ontario held the first PNP draw for foreign students since transitioning to a new intake scheme. On May 18, Ontario issued a call for 138 international students to apply for a provincial nomination. Moreover, Candidates with profiles in the latest Expression of Interest (EOI) pool were invited by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). These applicants may be eligible for the International Student Stream of the Ontario Employer Job Offer.

Candidates needed an EOI score of at least 77 to be invited. They wanted work offers in Ontario as well. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, you are not required to apply from within Canada. Among other requirements, you must have completed a programme at a Canadian Designated Learning Institution, have a qualifying work offer in Ontario, and plan to immigrate to the province. Depending on which stream you apply for, the OINP scoring system differs. It considers your wage, education, official language capacity, and the area in which you study or work, in addition to your skill level and work experience. In addition, the province has the option of allocating 10 points to respond to labor market needs.
