With the recently announced plans by the Canberra, New South Wales, and Queensland Government (s), Darwin also proposed the Federal Government to allow international students to take in-campus teaching from January 2022. If the plan is approved, international flights carrying 180 students will soon fly into the city early next year. Each year, the Australian economy receives an average of AUD 40693 from international students, which is a significant contribution to the total revenue generated by the education providers. As more colleges and universities reopen, it will further help diversification of local jobs and growth of the economy. Recently, there has been a reduction in the number of enrolled students as many have applied for other destinations such as the UK, Canada, and US. Once Darwin receives a green flag, there will be more opportunities for international students to pursue higher education from Australia.
