Now, the international European students are holding back their plans to come to the UK for further studies. The uncertainty of these students shrouds around travel vaccine restrictions/quarantine rules, higher rental issues and what universities would be offering now; face to face blended learning or virtual lectures are some of the questions awaiting students' decision to proceed to the UK.

Changing quarantine requirements is just one reason for confusion, leaving it stiff for EU international students to plan effectively. However, the recent announcement of EU and US passengers not requiring quarantine if they have double jabbed should help a tad.

Followed by travel restrictions, a sharp decline in the number of rental homes in the market is also a concern. In addition, several would-be tenants are likely to face rental issues that are on a sharp rise, as several landlords have converted homes into staycations around the lockdown.

Students' worries also revolve around their return home process during the holidays, once in the UK. However, a silver lining for students here from earlier is, they will now be able to stay in the UK for up to two years to kickstart their careers, thanks to a new immigration route, designed as --talent retention scheme from July 2021. Also, students planning for the UK studies in 2022 course have time till April 6 to do so.
