According to the latest guidelines by the PM, Scott Morrison, international tourists will have to wait until next year to visit Australia. Domestic students take the first priority, followed by skilled and international students, and lastly, tourists. The economy generates a significant revenue from the fee paid by international students, hence, the Government hopes to get back on track once the borders reopen for them. New South Wales authorities announced that by December 2021, 500 Australian students will be brought back to Australia in the pilot phase. The Education partners are Macquarie University, Australian Catholic University, The University of Sydney, UNSW, The University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, and the Western Sydney University, UTS. Similarly, Victorian authorities will soon begin preparations for the return of 120 Australian students per week starting early January 2022. The Australian Government is setting up facilities such as international security screening at major airports. The nation’s drug regulator, TGA, revealed the list of ‘recognised’ vaccines that includes Pfizer, Sinovac, Moderna, and Covishield.
