Central Michigan University announced the launch of a vaccine incentive programme with prizes like full-four-year scholarships and gift cards of $75 each time, to incentivize more students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The students can apply online for their vaccination to be able to enter the incentive program.

Michigan University chose 101 winners during each of their four scheduled draws, which they plan to go ahead with, according to news sources.

Only those students that have availed one dose of Johnson & Johnson or a double dose of Pfizer or even, maybe, Moderna are eligible to enter the incentive program.

Jennifer DeHaemers, vice-president, Student Recruitment and Retention, affirmed that the earlier the registrations come, there are more chances to win prizes.

The attempt is a promotion to protect our campus and community from the spread of COVID-19 and its growing variants.

“We want to strongly encourage students to have the vaccine before classes start this fall,” Jennifer added to ensure everyone can attend classes in the fall semester.

The drive remains to protect the campus and community from the spread of COVID-19 to continue classes safely.
