AG Grants Extension On work Hours For International Students

In what is being described as a student-friendly move, Australia will grant more work hours to the international students studying the Australian universities. the decision has been taken for students working in the tourism and hospitality sectors in the country. The decision is a U-turn from the past decisions of the country restricting new student admissions and return of overseas students to Australian universities. over the past few months, the Australian policies have been widely criticized by students across the world for being detrimental to the interest of the students.
The Australian federal government has lifted the cap on work hours for international students working in these two sectors. The work hours for Australian students in the tourism and hospitality sector are currently capped at 40 hours per fortnight. The provisions for this novel measure have already been included in the upcoming budget that will be revealed on May 11.
