71% Believe Most Students Will Return in Semester Two: Survey

It seems like everyone has their opinions about the number of returning international students. While many universities are looking forward to welcoming them early 2022, others do not feel optimistic about it. They believe that the majority of students will return in the second half of 2022. This could become disastrous for the country’s economy as many businesses are eagerly waiting for international students. Authorities said by that time, the Australian government will recognise most foreign COVID-19 vaccines. More than 200 representatives from 44 universities took part in an online survey conducted by AIEC. 71% are hopeful that, by semester II, students in large numbers will return to various parts of the country. 16% believe that only a small percentage of students will return in semester one. 6% answered the same negatively and said that Australia is not an attractive place for higher studies.
