The demand for studying abroad is increasing year by year and so are the number of students travelling to international colleges and universities. Based on a report prepared by a Bengaluru-based market research firm RedSeer, India will see more than 18 lakh going abroad to pursue their higher education by 2024. This means student expenditure will increase and it is estimated to be between 75 & 85 million dollars, which is more than double than the expenditure in 2019. Two primary reasons for this were identified in the report created by RedSeer. Firstly, more students are becoming aware of the superior quality of education offered by international colleges and universities. Secondly, those who had applied to study abroad had to postpone their higher studies due to the covid outbreak in 2019. Furthermore, the international borders worldwide were closed for almost two years. Now, since most countries have started to allow students to take on-campus study, there will be a surge in foreign applications gradually over the next 1-2 years.
