a) Introduction of the Obesity Issues in the Early Childhood

Obesity in early childhood is one of the major concerns all over the world. It is also known as having excess body fat which can affect the overall health of the kids. As per the overall health factors, obesity is creating a huge amount of issues for the overall factors of the child. As per the report of the WHO (World health organisation), childhood obesity is known as one of the most serious health related challenges of the 21st century. As illustrated by Boswell et al. (2019), obesity in the overall early childhood can increase the health problems such as high blood pressure, sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes and Asthma which affect the overall health related factors. This type of health related issues can also create a negative impact on the social development and social esteem of the Children. Obese children are becoming the obese adults which face a higher risk of developing different types of chronic diseases later in their life. Therefore, it is very much necessary for the parents to know about the issue and take proper action in managing the issues.

There are several factors which created a huge amount of contribution to the development of obesity in the overall childhood that includes lifestyles, genetics and environmental factors. Children are consuming a higher rate of diet in fat, calories and sugar. It also limited the physical activity at a higher rate of risk of becoming the obese. Along with that, as depicted by Manoher et al. (2020), environmental factors such as less accessibility of various healthy foods and safe places to play created a huge amount of issues in the development of obesity among the children. Therefore, it can be depicted that improper monitoring created a huge amount of issues for the children that affected the overall lifestyles of the organisation. Childhood obesity is one of the serious problems in all over the world including the US by putting adolescents and children at the risk of poor health. This type of obesity prevalence among adolescents and children is still so high. Analysing the several facts about the obesity related issues, some major facts are described below.

The prevalence of obesity was around 19.7% which affected more than 14.7 million adolescents and children. Similarly, the obesity prevalence was also 12.7% among the 1-5 years old and 20.7% among the 6-11 year old children (CDC, 2023). Similarly, around 22.2% obesity related factors are being found among the 12-19 years old children in the environment. Due to these issues, obesity related conditions including high cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes related health problems are being seen among the children. Therefore, it can be depicted that it is very much necessary to the parents to monitor all these issues and offer better results in the environment.

b) Reason behind the Obesity Among the Children

Obesity has majorly created a huge amount of issues for childhood education and care because it can negatively affect the overall impact of a child's development, health and academic achievement. Childhood obesity is one of the serious problems in all over the world including the US by putting adolescents and children at the risk of poor health. This type of obesity prevalence among adolescents and children is still so high. The major reasons behind the obesity concern are described below.

Health Concerns

Obesity can enhance various types of several health problems which can affect a child’s ability to participate in the ECEC programs (Jalongo, 2021). For example, a child with asthma or various joint problems may create a huge amount of difficulties in engaging in various types of physical activities which create a huge amount of issues that affect their overall well being and the health of the children. This type of health related issues created a huge amount of negative consequences on the overall health factors of the children.

Cognitive Development

The management of cognitive development created a huge amount of issues which affected the overall operations of the children. The overall obesity created a huge amount of negative consequences on the cognitive development of the child which includes the overall ability to problem solve, concentrate and perform the functions well academically. It can also create a negative impact on the readiness for their long term academic success and school. Without any proper monitoring and health related consequences, it created a huge issue in the development process of the children.

Social Development

Obesity is one of the major issues that affect the social development of children. Due to the issue of obesity, children are likely to face and experience bullying, social discrimination and social isolation. As opined by Albury et al. (2020), this type of social development created a huge amount of issues which affected the overall well being and self -esteem of the operations. This type of issue created a huge amount of negative consequences on the overall management body. Due to this issue, children are facing different isolation related issues.

Cost Implication

Managing and treating obesity can be a huge costlier factor for the parents of the children. It can also create a huge amount of negative implications on the ECEC programs.Different programs are also needed to provide a huge support and additional resources to help the children with obesity. It can also strain the overall limited resources of the organisation.

Obesity is one of the biggest issues that affect the child. However, as opined by Hennessy et al. (2019), certain groups are also vulnerable to manage obesity. Children from minority children, low income families with disabilities may be at a higher risk for obesity due to the factors of the limited accessing of safe places and foods to play. For addressing these issues of obesity in the ECEC, programs can easily promote the various healthy behaviours such as regular physical activity and healthy eating. Programs can also work with the communities and families for improving the accessibility of healthy foods and safe places for playing. Addressing the overall obesity in the ECEC, different programs can assist the children to develop various healthy habits which will benefit them throughout their overall lives.

c) Literature review on Obesity issues in the Childhood

Obesity is majorly known as one of the major issues that have been recognised as a major public health issue and which gathered various significant interest across various types of health sciences (Wolfenden et al. 2019). As per the original research done by using the various types of traditional scientific methods, different areas have discussed various types of treatment, quality of life and prevention for those who lived with the various novel methods such as Machine Learning. Analysing several factors, it is identified that few health crises are being seen as a predictable function as the overall obesity of the pandemic.Public and clinical health services remain the front line of various efforts for reducing the burden of overall obesity. People with various types of obesity help to live the differences. A higher rate of effective obesity and preventive interventions created a huge amount of issues for the organisation. Obesity associated with stigma and bias constitute a huge amount of issues for them to care about. On the other hand, as opined by Smith et al. (2020), the weight bias also created a huge amount of issues that affected the health professionals. Along with that, weight based issues and stigmatisation can also enhance the depression related risk, poor body image and anxiety. Sometimes, due to the issues, suicidal ideation also affected the a huge amount of issues among the people. Childhood obesity is also very much a clear issue that affects the overall health of children. Due to the primary factors, asthma, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and high cholesterol are the prime issues which affect the overall environment of the children.

Childhood obesity is known as a complicated disease which has major contributing factors. Due to the major issues, children need a higher rate of calories for development and growth (World health organisation, 2022). Due to this factor, children are gaining a huge amount of excess weight for different reasons to manage the adults. Due to genetics, behaviour, socioeconomic communities, and cultural factors, these obesities are being found.

d) Justification of my Position on Obesity by being an Early Childhood Teacher

Obesity is one of the serious health concerns which affect people from all kinds of ages including young children. A large number of children are facing different types of issues which affect the health of the young children. As an early childhood teacher, it is very essential for me to identify the impact of obesity on the children's health and there will be mitigating different types of long term consequences which may arise from it.

One of the primary issues which makes obesity one of the crucial issues in early childhood is that it significantly has studies of developing different types of cones; this includes heart disease, diabetes and some other types of health problems. Additionally, as depicted by Schroeder et al. (2021), childhood obesity can also increase the overall variety of social psychological and physical problems such as depression and social isolation which affect the overall performance of the children.

Similarly, as an early childhood teacher, it is very much essential in promoting the healthy and preventing childhood habits. As depicted by Smith et al. (2023), it can be done through the development of a nurturing and supporting environment which encourages overall healthy eating, physical activity and positive body image. Analysing the major strategies, promotion of healthy habits can be helpful to include different types of physical activities in their daily routine such as offering age prepaid physical activities and regular movement bags. The application of proper strategy can be also helpful for me to provide healthy snacks and encourage the children to try different types of new fruits and vegetables. Therefore, being an early childhood teacher, it is very much helpful for me to identify the impact of obesity on the children's health and to propose proper solutions for promoting different healthy habits.

e) Strategies for Resolving Issues

Solving the issue of obesity is one of the most important factors which help the children's for being free from obesity related issues (McGlynn, and McGlone, 2019). There are different types of charges that can be used to resolve and improve the issue are described below.

Promoting Healthy Eating

The early childhood educators can easily teach their children about different types of healthy eating habits by providing different types of snacks and nutritious meals and promoting water consumption. Educators can also involve a large number of children in their food preparation activities which help them to develop a proper love for healthy foods.

Encouraging the Physical activities and Educating the families

The different types of physical activities are very much essential and crucial for the children's mental health and physical health. As depicted by Kumanyika (2019), the early childhood educators can include different types of h appropriate physical activities into various curriculum such as dance, yoga, outdoor play and organised sports which helps to increase the families to engage in various physical activities with the organisation. The early childhood educators can provide the proper education to the families by informing them about the physical activities, healthy eating habits and the cause of childhood obesity which encourage the families to make healthy lifestyle choices and offer resources such as physical activity ideas and healthy recipes.

Creation of Supportive Environment

The early childhood educators can also create a proper amount of supportive environment which promotes the positive body image and self esteem of the children (Popkin et al. 2020). They can also encourage children for celebrate and accept their differences and promote a proper culture of respect and inclusivity. Educators can also model the language and healthy behaviour by stigmatising the language belated to the body size and weight.

Therefore, it can be depicted that these strategies can provide a huge amount for me to mitigate these issues from the environment.
