Introduction

Theatre nurses have a broad role mainly within the system of healthcare. A wide part of this aids the ongoing professional development of existing and new staff. In addition, they also play a vital role to develop, organize and identify educational chances for staff to maintain and enhance their clinical skills, improve their critical thinking skills and increase the environment of learning of the staff. Theatre nurses are skilled communicators who have the ability to effectively work as a member of a team. Additionally, they are a support source for senior theatre professionals to support their ability to practice. They are also fundamental majorly to the effective practice transition of the freshly graduated theatre nurse. Their role improves the overall outcomes of the patient by giving important education for theatre nurses mainly by enhancing their critical skills of thinking and clinical abilities (Nestler, 2019). They indirectly enhance the care of the patient. The theatre nurse monitors the health of the patient and gives appropriate treatment and care till the patient gets better entirely from the surgery and/or anesthesia's effects. They also evaluate the patient to make sure they can be released back to the ward. Lastly, they evaluate the care offered throughout every preoperative stage (JasiƄska, 2022).

The operating theatre nurse has the chance to indirectly and directly improve the quality of care offered to patients. Mainly, theatre nurses have the responsibility for making sure that patients remain safe during operations by giving care after, during and before surgeries. Besides this, they are required to adhere to and prepare for protocols whilst ensuring that surgical areas are properly sterile and clean. In addition, they also fulfill duties like reducing the anxiety of the patient before the operation or collecting all supplies required to execute a surgery properly. Theatre nurses require being competent to work as a group or team. Furthermore, they should have good interaction skills as they are in charge of conveying information between patients and doctors during surgeries (Vogelsang et al., 2019). Also, directly working with medical professionals in the clinical work area and giving opportunities for education are instances of the way the theatre nurse can enhance the care facilities of the patient mainly by assisting create competent theatre medical professionals with the ability and knowledge to provide evidence-oriented care (Mathenge, 2020). To become efficient and successful in the nursing role, various personal attributes are effective for the theatre nurse. These attributes and skills empower them to efficiently work as a member of a group by being compassionate, resourceful, assertive, supportive and approachable and organized. They also have an efficient drive to educate other individuals (Maya, 2022). They are usually passionate about the theory of integrating and learning into practice. This is because it is crucial to keep updated with the current evidence and research-oriented practice recommendations mainly to aid theatre staff in supporting their practice ability within a quickly changing profession. Additionally, theatre nurses are a crucial multidisciplinary team part in which the team gets assisted to create a care plan for the patients (Vogelsang et al., 2019). Theatre nurses play an important part in the effective practice transition to work in this profession efficiently. Through education and ongoing support, the theatre nurse can support the nurses to navigate effectively the unpredictable and dynamic clinical environment. Also, this could be attained by highlighting clinical skills and modeling effective interaction to improve and grasp critical thinking as well as assisting reflective practice via debriefing (Blomberg et al., 2019). Theatre nurse support and assist the nurses’ professional development and also motivate them to become competent and confident clinicians. The theatre nurse’s recommended ratio is needs and ambiguous to be identified to aid the clinical nurse mainly to promote well-educated and competent nursing staff to enhance patient outcomes (Westerberg, 2022). The specific education should be tailored for pediatrics to satisfy the correlation between nursing issues.
