Introduction

This semester, I successfully finished the course titled "Managing as well as Developing Careers." My preparation for a future profession in business management has been much enhanced by this class. The work I do in the services enterprise units will be invaluable to my professional development and future success in the workforce. What I've learned from this is that it requires more than just knowledge and ability to succeed. Throughout the course of this unit's learning, I was able to participate in two webinars, participate in a professional LinkedIn scenario, and hear from a variety of interesting speakers. Three separate professional networking activities helped me evaluate my own abilities and those of my peers, and I gained insight into the attitudes and behaviors that lead to a successful career, such as ambition along with networking, and the impact these traits and behaviors have on new graduates.

Evaluating the Significance

The things I did this semester were crucial and important to my education in business management. Each and every one of the students who took part in this course benefited much from the material we gleaned over the semester from the weekly assessments, the two conferences, as well as my professional activities on LinkedIn that we did while attending lectures. Sarah Morgan's second webinar, in which she covered the five essential components of leadership, was very helpful. My experience in management has shown me the importance of qualities like initiative, focus, foresight, and assertiveness in becoming a strong leader and advancing one's career. Dr Khalil Al Jerjawi lecture was really motivating because it helped me understand that even the most accomplished people have moments of doubt and uncertainty about their futures in their preferred areas of work, but that confidence, inspiration, and optimism can grow along with one's professional accomplishment (Rentz and Lentz, 2015). As a business student, I found that participating in LinkedIn activities really benefited my career prospects. In the end, it's possible that each of the three speakers (Sarah, Alan, and Kristian) and their respective actions will be given more weight.

Reconstructing the Experiences

As I near the completion of my course, I've had the chance to speak with professionals throughout the business world who have been where I am now. Among the most important parts, in my opinion, was the LinkedIn activity that led to this result.

Communicating with Dr Khalil Al Jerjawi has also given me the opportunity to share my expertise by commenting on their blogs and joining groups within which they take part. In addition, it will help me develop my own unique sense of expertise by setting me apart from other recent business school grads (Rycraft, 2018). Potential employers would have a comprehensive understanding of me as a professional and as a person via the profile on LinkedIn and network. In addition, I'll have tangible evidence to provide to prospective employers of my proficiency, expertise, and understanding.

Analysis

The reading on employability instances in week 2 provided me with my first understanding of the learning encounter. The use of the Graduate Employment readiness Framework facilitated the examination of many factors, encompassing my comprehension level inside my selected discipline, my vocational aspirations and objectives, as well as the extent of my expertise and knowledge acquisition (Kinash et al., 2015). Throughout this procedure, it became evident to me that I had substantial job experience and valuable skills, making me a noteworthy addition to my future company. The reading assigned for week 6, titled 'career development in addition to transitions,' provided me with an opportunity to draw connections between the concepts discussed and my own educational experiences. During the networking session I participated in, a guest speaker delivered a presentation regarding her professional trajectory, emphasizing the potential for individuals to begin on their careers in one field and then shift to an entirely new domain.

During the fifth week of the course, I engaged with the employability assessments titled "6 Things Smart Individuals Perform to Have genuinely Interesting Conversations". This reading provided valuable insights on the significance of networking, particularly in the context of an occupational networking event. The main takeaway from this material was the importance of improving networking skills by employing strategies to make conversations more engaging and fostering stronger relationships. The speaker conveyed that such transitions are acceptable and exemplify the essence of career switching. During the twelfth week, I found a connection between the reading material regarding career flexibility and my own learning experience. The need of versatility, adaptability, as well as flexibility is expected to grow in future work marketplaces, as I gained knowledge and understanding via my educational experience (Flint-Taylor & Davda, 2016). Through conducting more study on the topic of career flexibility, a more profound comprehension has been acquired about the development and evolution of personal resilience throughout time.

Distil

Especially after the subsequent webinar, I understood how crucial experience and skills are, and how intrinsically motivated one must be to achieve success. Positivity is one of the most valuable qualities since it helps me do my work better. Positivity is crucial to happiness and accomplishment, as is the capacity for goal-setting, creativity, optimism, and professional drive (Flint-Taylor & Davda, 2015). This is knowledge that I will carry with me as I finish my last year of college and into a prospective profession in business management. I can immediately see that the LinkedIn project is paying off in a number of ways. My profile is no longer concealed, as seen by the steady stream of daily views. As I go ahead in my professional life, I am aware of the challenges I will face and the steps I will take to ensure my success.

Keeping this in mind will help me not only acquire new skills, but also develop my existing ones and maintain my connections to influential people in my field. This has opened the door for me to explore exciting new career paths in the realm of management in businesses. Implementing my Personal Development Program would additionally teach me how to better manage my time, which would boost my entire productivity and effectiveness within a given organization and ultimately help me advance in my chosen field (Prasad, 2021). LinkedIn also allows me to network with other industry experts, which has helped me learn more about my field and prepare for any challenges I may have in the near future.

Conclusion

Finally, I feel that my horizons have been widened by this course. It has equipped me using real-world skills that will improve my interactions with others at work and in everyday life. This has been a fun subject since I can immediately put to use the information we covered in the lessons, quizzes, webinars, and assignments. Whatever I've learned in this program has given me the tools to become a more effective leader throughout the future.
